From a very young
age, Marie-Eve displayed a passion for the musical arts and acting. Her
artistic debut can be traced back to primary school. At eight years
old, she was given the main role in a play that was presented to the parents
of her school. Despite her young age, she had already stood out from
her classmates by the ease and strength in which she was able to interpret
her character.
Marie-Eve began singing
lessons at the age of fifteen. She continued on to obtain a college
degree in classical singing from CEGEP de Ste-Foy in Quebec City in
2001. During her time at CEGEP, she sang in two operas: as Naomi in
'Cinderella' and as the main character Gretel in 'Hansel and Gretel'.
At the age of sixteen,
Marie-Eve was awarded a silver medal in the Opti-Jeunesse provincial
singing contest. The following year, she was to receive both the gold
medal and the highly sought after 'Public Award' at the same contest.
From 1997 to 2005,
Marie-Eve performed as a singer in the acclaimed troupe de spectacle
'Quebec Issime'. She starred in the shows "The Céline
à la Bolduc", "Décembre" and "Québec Issime chante
Noël". She also starred in the show "Cinemashow" which
was presented at both the Montreal Casino and multiple American theatres.
Marie-Eve also sang in "Telles qu'elle" presented at the Montreal
Club Soda and starred as Stella Spotlight in the production "Starmania"
presented in Saguenay, Quebec.
In 2001 and 2002,
Marie-Eve was a finalist at the Provincial Music Contest of Canada in
the classical singing category.
In January 2004, Marie-Eve
was selected to sing the Canadian and American national anthems at the
Montreal Bell Centre prior to a hockey game between the Montreal Canadians
and the Boston Bruins. She performed brilliantly.
In February 2005,
Marie-Eve was invited as soloist to perform with the Symphonic orchestra
of Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean during the productions "Popcorn and Cinema"
presented in Chicoutimi, Quebec.
Between 2001 and 2005,
Marie-Eve further expanded her career in the musical arts by teaching
singing lessons, music theory and musicals at the Centre Musicart de
Jonquière. During her time with the Centre Musicart, she filled the
role of artistic director and mise en scène for two musical productions
that were to obtain great regional success.
In 2005, Marie-Eve
joined the world acclaimed Cirque du Soleil as a singer for the show
"Alegria" which toured Japan for eight months, London and
Rome.
From 2006 to 2007, Marie-Eve worked as a weekly cultural reporter for a local television show.
Marie-Eve has contributed
backup vocals for several professional singers to include Nanette Workman
and Mario Pelchat. She has performed in several shows and duets for which
she was the mise en scène.
In March 2008, Marie-Eve
developed, produced and directed a large scale event entitled "Show
me the Way/Hommage à STYX".
In December 2008,
she had the privilege of being invited by Michaël, a well known provincial
artist, to join him as guest singer on his Provincial tour.
In April 2008, Marie-Eve
played the lead character in the opera "L'enfant de Sortilèges"
by Maurice Ravel.
Marie-Eve's artistic
career has temporarily taken a pause due to back to back postings with
her military spouse. She stays active by taking contract work and is
currently employed as a coordinator at the Romeo Dallaire francophone
parents and children resource centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dès son tout
jeune âge, Marie-Eve a su démontrer son goût inné pour les arts
musicaux et scéniques.
Elle fit ses
tout débuts lorsqu'elle était à l'école primaire, prenant à
pied levé le rôle principal dans une pièce de théâtre présenté
aux parents, à cette époque, elle n'avait que 8 ans et déjà
elle se démarquait tant son interprétation était juste.
Elle avait environ 15 ans lorsqu'elle débuta des cours de chants populaires, plus tard elle poursuivit en chant classique au CEGEP de Ste-Foy à Québec où elle obtint son Diplôme d'Études Collégiales en 2001. Pendant ses études en chant, elle a participé à deux opéras soit, Cendrillon (rôle de Noémie), Hansel et Gretel (rôle principal – Gretel).
À 16 ans elle
remporta une médaille d'argent au concours Opti-Jeunesse en chansons
de Laterrière. L'année suivante au même concours, elle rafla les
grands honneurs, soit la médaille d'or et le non moins prestigieux
"Prix du Public".
En 1997 elle
fit partie de la troupe de spectacles du nom de Québec Issime à
titre de chanteuse et ce, jusqu'en 2005. Sa participation ne s'arrête
pas là puisqu'à son actif s'ajoutent les "Décembre" de Québec Issime, "Québec Issime chante Noël", "Cinémashow"
présenté à plusieurs reprises au Casino de Montréal et dans quelques
théâtres aux Etats-Unis, "Telles qu'elles" présenté au
Club Soda de Montréal, "Starmania" (rôle de Stella Spotlight)
présenté au Saguenay.
En 2001 et en
2002, elle fut finaliste provinciale du Concours de Musique du Canada,
catégorie chant classique.
En janvier 2004,
elle interpréta d'une façon magistrale les hymnes nationaux du Canada
et des États-Unis au Centre Bell de Montréal, avant le match de hockey.
En février 2005,
elle fut la soliste invitée de l'Orchestre symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean
pour le spectacle "Popcorn et Cinéma" présenté à Chicoutimi.
De 2001 à
2005, elle fut professeure de chant, théorie et comédie musicale au
Centre Musicart de Jonquière; elle prit la direction artistique et
fit la mise en scène de deux productions qui ont obtenu un franc succès.
En 2005, elle
se joignait à la grande famille du Cirque du Soleil comme chanteuse
pour le spectacle "Alegria" au Japon (8 mois), à Londres,
à Rome.
En 2006-2007,
elle fut chroniqueuse d'une émission de télévision locale, dont elle
présentait le volet culturel.
Marie-Eve fut
aussi choriste pour plusieurs chanteurs dont Nanette Workman et Mario
Pelchat.
Elle présenta
différents spectacles en duo dont elle en fit la mise en scène.
En mars 2008,
elle monta un méga spectacle intitulé "Show me the way/Hommage
à STYX" dont elle fut la productrice, directrice artistique et
choriste.
En décembre
2008, elle fut artiste invitée à chanter avec Michaël,
pour une tournée provinciale.
Sa carrière
ne s'arrête pas là car en avril 2008, on lui demanda de jouer le rôle
principal de l'opéra "L'Enfant et les Sortilèges" de Maurice
Ravel .
Étant conjointe
d’un militaire, Marie-Eve a dû mettre sa carrière en veilleuse
pour quelques années, ceci ne l’empêche pas par contre de faire
quelques petits contrats de temps en temps. Elle est présentement en
poste de coordonnatrice du centre de la petite enfance et de la famille
Roméo-Dallaire depuis août 2009.
